EQUIPMENT
As our agility training methods improve our dogs are getting faster and more confident. The risk of injury from slipping on or getting tangled up in equipment is getting higher.
Over the past few years, the Victorian Agility Community has spent a significant amount of time, money and effort on upgrading club agility equipment to ensure it is as safe as possible for our canine friends to compete on. From rubberised contacts to poly wing jumps to break-away tyres to tunnels and tunnel bags, the commitment from clubs, instructors, judges, competitors and suppliers has been incredible.
The Agility Nationals 2018 Working Group is extremely grateful to the Victorian Agility Community for their valuable contribution. Please take the time to acknowledge your fellow competitors as they set up your courses each evening. Any assistance you can offer will be gratefully accepted.
In particular we would like to thank the following clubs who have provided equipment and build crews for the duration of the competition:
The Berwick Obedience Dog Club was founded in 1980 and has trained thousands of people in responsible dog ownership to make our local community a dog friendly area. It is the only club in the area which trains on Saturday afternoons, operating from the first Saturday in February until the first Saturday in December. They also offer twilight training on Wednesday evenings during daylight saving time. The club has many dedicated and enthusiastic members and over the years has also produced many champions in obedience, flyball and agility. |
